Elim Home was started in 1983 at Nampally Church by Pr. Christopher with just five children. Since then, the home directors and staff have put in much efforts to bring the children up with love and dedication over the years. The location was later shifted to Hastinapuram. The name Elim means ‘twelve springs and seventy palm trees’.
Though the home was started with 5 children, now it is home 121 young boys and girls, many of whom are studying in boarding schools. 17 children from the home have successfully passed out twelfth grade and gone on to pursue further studies in various lines including, Engineering, B.Sc Nursing, Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSC), Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Computer Sciences, B. Pharma and M. Pharma. Over 75 children from Elim home are now self-sufficient with jobs and families of their own. They work as teachers, nurses, pastors, engineers, principals and managers.
